Little help! Hey can I get one of those autos. I'm plum tuckered out from shifting and clutching. Left knee is shot and I can't open my right hand at the end of the day.:biggrin_25513:

28 years will do that. Both my knees are shot.

You drive an automatic, rig-a-mortis will set in. :)

Double clutching is so stupid. If you MUST use a clutch "float" it out and use the clutch to put it back in. But double clutching is just obnoxious.

You get into one of our trucks for a road test and can not do it, see ya. Kiss that high 5 figure a year job goodbye.

Road test vs everyday 'get it done" driving are two very different styles of driving. Sure some like double clutching, others don't. My preference is the float. No big deal.

Well making statements like dc is stupid. Of course you will get called out. What did you expect.

If the cdl testing center had a manual truck to test in I would have failed at least on the road test. Maybe that's not a bad thing. I want to know so much no one would let me go. I can get going in a ten speed. Hills and down shifting need time and practice ideally without causing major damage to the truck. For now a have my application and paperwork in with maverick waiting for a response. Thank you for the Transport national recommendation I'm going to look into it. I'll work hard and try to make some money no matter what I do just like everyone else. Thankyou for the responses
