Anyone thinking of working for CRST should talk to former drivers. This Co. has a terrible safety rating, they could care less for the drivers they have,i'm getting fired for having an accident ,a woman came across 4 lanes into my lane heading south while i was heading north. Now they can't get rid of me soon enough, this was my first accident in 29 years of driving,my CSA2010 score is 22,only minor infractions in all those years. My logs were audited and was dinged for no BOL # on one day,no freight on the deck,no load,no post trip annotated ,ever, they can't read,PT on logs.these are only a few of the write ups i got.Never had any trouble,no problems of any kind. Until they wanted to hassle me.Oh a favorite is they never received your logs, yet i have receipts for all of them.they put you on stop dispatch for any reason some idiot can come up with.I'm leaving and thank god its not soon enough. These people have caused me to lose thousands of dollars in revenue,oh by the way ,if you run for one agent his trucks come first and you sit.If you are even thinking of CRST have your head examined

I make great money here! On pace to gross $234K this year. I m home just about every weekend and average $1700-$2100 to the house after all expenses. I love that we dispatch ourselves and run where we want to run. If you need someone to motivate you and find your freight for you, this might not be the place for you. This company is what you make of it. Some guys fall flat on there face and then have negative things to say about the company. Others thrive and prosper.

It depends on who they have as a log auditor, we also were frustrated because the new one wanted logs done backwards, for time off. Six months later, we're told they don't have logs. It's ALWAYS during time off. I went in to speak to our local safety officer who was also a trainer. She was getting hauled into Birmingham all the time, to train - she said, now she's gone. I've watched more people go at this company...

We've never been put on a stop. However, I have chewed ### and argued with lots of folks.

The safety rating is an issue, because we can't work with some brokers. We can always take our truck and leave. Some days, it's a serious conversation. My husband gets mad and wants to quit, but basically, it's the same all over. If they cleaned up their safety rating, found people who can read logs, pulled some better rates and let us book our loads in advance, we'd be fine.

Funny, I told my husband if he signed the lease agreement, he was nuts and I would hold him to it. I told him he had to stay two years and plan his next jump. He's stayed two years. I keep telling him he can jump, if he can plan for another company's hoops.

Frankly, if you can make it with Malone, you can make it at any respectable company.

Who the heck do you work for that you make $234,000 driving a truck?

I am doing a lease purchase through CRST Malone. Get paid 75% of each load, and I do my best not haul to anything that isn't paying the truck at least $2.00 a mile. The load im on now is paying the truck $ 2.17 and my next load will pay the truck $3.22:biggrin_255: a mile, again thats to the truck after Crst gets there 25%.

Shouldnt have posted your gross, now we will have another noob with stars in their eyes that will probably lease a truck and go broke. Listen to me noob, get a couple of years in before you decide to get nutty and lease a truck. Get some trucking experience and business experience as it will pay off big time.

Just trying to show there is the potential to make money over here if you have the drive and desire, throw in common sense, and a little bit of buisness sense. I had a driver question me the other day about what I had grossed year to date, I told him.....he proceded to tell me I was full of fecal matter. I went out to the truck got my laptop, proved it to him in black and white, he shut up pretty quick. Don't get me wrong there are guys here that struggle to clear $800 a week, but after talking to them for 5 minutes you understand why. No self motivation, and no clue how to run the system to benefit themselves.
