I'm from the Irving yard born and raised in DFW , right now I live in the Houston area when I'm not in my truck ...... Hmmmm about every 6 weeks. Lol
-
I think I am being sent the most round-a-bout way to Irving to get my student.....Was in Markham Friday morning when she got put on my 10screen to be picked up today and FM put in for a route/load.....then I delivered in west WI Friday night, picked up in east WI Saturday morning, delivered just south of Nashville this morning, picked up just north of Nashville, and now I'm delivering just south of Olive Branch......with no word on a load heading me to Irving...LOL

boomtown used to have a truck stop where the cabela's is now, it was a great place to stop amd wait out the chain law.... held around 250 trucks....
-
see about a fedex going from memphis to irving
-
I asked night FM about my next load and she said there was nothing yet.....do not even want to think about an overnight run.....that would mean trying to take a nap tomorrow after a good nights sleep and that is very hard for me to do......still don't have an appt time for delivery on my current load yet either, and it delivers tomorow.

Recruiter said they need a recent sleep study for my OSA. BS I say. My machine records data and shows compliance data for last 90 days. Werner, here I come.

Have to agree with you there, Craig. I used to spend so much time in the LA area that once I became confident and comfortable with being able to find my way back to the Colton terminal, I didn't mind (quite so much) dealing with the LA hassle. The clean and spacious showers, the oversized comfy couches and big screen TV, outdoor picnic tables near trees and grass, free W/D, easy FW access and plenty of parking with the predictability of knowing what to expect, all together made staying there for the night something I would actually look forward to.
