I keep seeing people talking about being required to provide proof of unemployment, employment, and or tax records. So I'm trying to see if this is an OTR thing or is it across the board including oilfield. Yes I realize DOT requires employment for the last 3 years. When I applied for my current oilfield driving job I had been a stay at home dad for the last 2-3 years with misc work. I filled the job application out best I could and went over some of it with my soon to be employer. We talked about 30 minutes before he had his secretary set me up for a drug test and physical. I didn't have to provide any tax records and or unemployment letters etc.

So my question is for oilfield drivers, did you have the same experience or did you have to provide proof and or tax records. If so, whats your job?

I suspect this is a discouragement technique for less desired for employment. Tax Records? Are you providing me a Truck Lease? Sure! I would surely like to leave the lot today with that bad baby... :)
