Wait, how does TA work their training program? Is it hours or mileage based? If so, it should NOT put him behind. And frankly, that trainer needs to be reported no matter what.

I worked for TA for 4 months... bad, bad place to be. They promise the world and deliver not much.
Also, I had a bad trainer myself except he slept all the time and chewed me out when he was awake. I switched trainers and he was great. I recommend calling and asking for a new trainer.

Just do your best to support him in this. Life is rough out on the road and a good support system at home really helps.

    eddyswife Thanks this.

They work off of hours, the trainer is supposed to keep track of those miles, his didn't he did, found out the guy was screwing him out of half a day of hours, reported him, he finishes them up today. And yes his first order of business when he get to the terminal is to let them know everything that happened out on the road with his so called "coach". Even if it means he has to go find a different company.

So far what I have learned from joining this forum:
    1. He's not alone in his experience and it could happen no matter what company he went with
    2. I need to be the best supportive cheer leader I can be and not add to dragging him down.
    3. There are some helpful people on here and others that just like to go around and add to a person's misery just like anywhere else in the world.
    4. Trans Am wasn't a great choice, should have done much better in the researching and asked a lot more questions of experienced drivers out there and taken what recruiters and school said with a grain of salt.

OK, so maybe your next step is to learn to use this forum, to research the companies and schools before you choose one, there is a lot of info here.
And being supportive is all fine but you really need to be working too, you can't just stay home and expect him to provide for you.
As you will find whe you read this forum, the first year is tough financially and its much easier on you both if you have a steady income, that will take a lot of pressure off him. Hope it all gets better !

I have no problem with working, I do day labor and merchandising gigs while putting in job applications every day. This is the first time I have ever been unemployed while not out on maternity leave. My schooling is online so that I can work a full time job, geeze where do you get the idea that I just want to stay at home and be supported? And thank for your advice about the forum I have been doing just that and forwarding the information I find to him when he calls. Right now at this point, the temp work I do, and what I sell online is paying our bills to survive, what he send home pays his financial obligations. But thanks for your advice and judgements.
