    Okay, I am a fatty.. sorry :p

Anyway, I was at Prime back in 2009, and you had to have a BMI of less than 39.. mine was 38.5 or something close like that.. I made it.. however I left shortly after for family reasons, etc..

Recent time -- I have been approved to go back to Prime, and heard something along the lines of the policy has changed for the BMI and if you are over 39 (I now am).. you have to pay for sleep apnea test.. that was about six months ago I spoke to a recruiter.

Has this policy changed? What is the current Prime policy regarding fat people, and our BMI getting started with Prime?

Please search next time, this has been discussed a thousand times (plus theres a 120 page thread on it).

If you are over 39% you HAVE to take the test or you will not work for Prime. If you test positive, you HAVE to buy the machine or you won't work for Prime.

The test alone is $130. The take it out in increments of $50, $50, and $30 from your paycheck if you test negative.

The machine along with everything that comes with it and the test totals out to $1900. You can pay this in increments also, I think still $50.

I was there in July 2011, my BMI was 34.5 and I still had to have the sleep test, Its based on more than your BMI, its your weight & neck size!

I asked the doc when I came through in April and he said that the sleep test can be requested for 3 main reasons

    1. Snoring
    2. BMI over 39 or 40 I cant remember
    3. Neck size

and IMO they can request it if they feel you are trying to hide something a guy in my orientation was NONE of the above and he was asked to complete one. So anyway.....

If you have a BMI over 39 or they want a sleep test do they have the ability to test you there? I have read both ways that they will send you home and test then come back and some say they test and take it out of your check. If they test you and take it out of your check do they test you there or do you have to come back.

Yes, they can test you there and take it out of your check.

The test will be done while at Springfield. I doubt they do the testing at Prime but rather send you to a sleep clinic in the local community.

Well your doubts are wrong. It's done at a sleep lab set up by Sleep Pointe at Prime.
