Just wanted to add to that, I also didn't realize it was legal for them to watch you. I have always "heard" that they are only allowed to do that to people like on probation or convicted felon. Kind of fringes on your civil rights. Don't want to get you worked up, but personally I would be a little pee'd off!

Ok, thanks for that info: Is this a for sure fact? I didn't break any DOT Rules? I take it that it was the schools rules? Should I say anything to any potential carriers?

I wouldn't go any further until you have cleared this up and are for sure about the laws. Right now, technically you failed a drug test and were booted from school. No company is going to want anything to do with you for at least 5-8 years. Do not call any companies and do not discuss it with any recruiters. Once you put this on an app there is no erasing it or taking it back.

Another thing you can do is go to the OOIDA website and find a link to a good trucking lawyer in which you can talk to and ask about this matter.

I am very pee'd off!!! I am just trying to join you good truckers out their and do what I have to do to get my cdl and this is how I get treated! I have had nothing but bad luck trying to get my cdl training. Can't even get recruiters from trucking companies to return calls or emails. And my background and driving record is too clean! What more do they want?

You may not have a CDL but you were taking a DOT drug test and the rules state on a DOT drug test that if you walk out it is a failure. If its too watered down that is also a failure.

Actually that is considered a negative dilute and you are given another one. One of the dangers of drinking a lot of water, too.

dibstr, THBatMan8 and chompi Thank this.

I just went through an orientation, and there was a guy there they asked to re-take the test because his first sample was too diluted. So I'd say Twilight Flyer is correct. It's not a failure, but it does need to be re-done. Walking out, however, for any reason, is a failure.

    chompi Thanks this.

The lab has to perform validity tests on your urine to insure that it is consistent with human urine. When they tested yours obviously the creatinine level was too low, which triggered a required test of the specific gravity of the sample. The pH of your urine was so low that it was considered Acidic. I am certain the opinion of the lab was that you gave it good effort but the urine was not "consistent with human urine" and since you are human that leaves room for no speculation to form a conclusion. That's why the next collection was observed.
