What are company drivers at Prime netting in pay if the first year. I know insurance affects it. I will be getting family insurance if I go with Prime. Just trying to get an idea of what to expect.

Just not sure what they're looking for. I'm not lazy...haven't been sitting on my keyster. If they see somebody who's been unemployed for 18 months....maybe they think I'm a freeloader. When i had consulting work, I wasn't collecting unemployment. It's just not a simple answer. And, I don't want to loose a chance at driving because somebody doesn't understand.

Call them, explain you have been unemployed, and see what they say and what they will require. What else can be said? Nobody here does the hiring and cant tell you what they will say for sure.

Totally right, reptij. When it comes to individual specifics involving complicated facts, the only good source is the company. Be upfront and totally honest and you will know where you stand at the end of the conversation.

Are all of prime's truck equipped with APU's? I live in eastern north Carolina, does anyone have an idea of how often i will be getting home with a load?
-
No, not all have APUs. The lightweights are getting them, but slowly. Think atleast all the company fullsize have APUs on them. Mine has one on it
-
If the truck doesn't have an APU, they ARE giving out appointments to get them put into the truck.
