Will be dependant upon who hires you...
sleeping in a moving truck..
sharing a 10 or less squarefoot living area+bunk (upper not used in motion), and not beaing able to walk into a truck stop to use restroom/shower/eat cause you are in a truck moving (hopefully) 22 hrs a day was not for me...so i am solo.
most companies (outside the ones that pairs newbies together ((think underpaid team))) that do run teams usually try to have husband/wife teams...living so close together, 24 hrs a day can make that hard for some... -
Learn on a manual. Only team with people you know and trust. Enough said.

Go solo and a manual, nuff said
-
Yeah.. nuff said on team unless wife or someone you know.
You are more marketable being able to drive a manual. You could always walk into an auto someday after driving manual, but not the other way around.Last edited: Oct 29, 2011

Way to be descriptive OP.
Manual for what...Manual to learn on, or are you talking about going to a company that only has manuals?
I personally hate automatics. And I hate people so running teams is out of the question. -
Since the OP is "still in truck driving school", I would assume he is talking about choosing a company... He has already chosen a school

LOL, Agreed!

Manual, definitely. Preferably 13 or 18. 9 and 10 absolutely s**k in the mountains.
And ALONE. Although there will probably be a time initially with a trainer.
I REFUSE to ride with ANYONE, if I can avoid it. Been in 5 wrecks in my life. NEVER was the one driving. That cured me over 35 years ago.
Best of luck (skill actually) to you. -
Manual, 10,13, or 18.

Ask us when you know more, not being mean, just real.
