I'm hoping to find a company that is still using them. Most of what I've been finding have gone to 10 or 9 or worse, auto..:biggrin_25510:

Yeah like Floridaheavyhaul said, you have to be pretty brave and really trust your co-driver. Teaming is very tough and there are few who like to do it. You will get a taste of teaming when you are with your trainer so maybe that will help you make your decision.

As far as manual or automatic that's going to be a personal choice. I absolutely hate automatics! Feels like I'm not in control especially going down mountains! Just a little freaked out relying on a computer going down a hill. Plus half the fun of driving is shifting.

    Manual. Solo.

Manual for 2 reasons : I can only think of 1 company that runs mostly autos. I can think of 1,000 that run manuals only. And the only people I can find that don't loudly proclaim their hatred for autos are people with leg problems, women (not being sexist, just my experience), and those few guys that say shifting is overrated.

And go solo, because teaming sucks. After your time with a trainer, you'll most likely agree with me.
