Stay away from ROEHL!!

there was 10 people in the minivan and 7 of them were killed leaving the other 3 hospitalized. the deer actually killed the driver.

 

i cannot imagine the thoughts that is going through that young driver's head right now. i'll be surpised if he steps into another truck

 

Don't recall me blaming the driver so I am assuming you bumped your head or something. Considering the scrutiny that will be placed on the their drivers after this by the company I can totally see why you would be bumping your head and acting a fool.

By the way it is the company blaming the driver. They said when receiving their award, that their drivers are proactively trained at avoiding accidents and protecting the motoring public. Which according to the company would be adjusting speed to the time of day and weather condition you are driving in. Now even if not the drivers fault. Just how much reaction time and concentration do you think is needed when driving a loaded semi at night at 65mph.

And if this was ever to see a court what do you think a jury is going to do when presented with 3 family's being partially wiped out by a big bad truck?

 

Our trucks can't even do 65 unless we're rolling downhill and IN turnpike is pretty flat. The speed limit on the turnpike is 65 for all vehicles.

 

Bet those dispatchers never had trouble finding a place to park after driving 600 miles.

oh and if Roehl is so bad why are so many of us coming to its defense??? I think there have been more positives than negatives with this company thats why we come running to its defense...most of us that work for them like Roehl as an employer and don't have many if any issues with the company...and most of us realize that some stuff we can't change cause its not our name on the door so we just keep truckin...
Look at some of the other negative threads about some of the other companies you see more people agreeing with the complaints and adding too rather than defend...

 

hey mic hope all is well with you i appreciate the ride. You know my story with roehl and it wasnt a good one, Now is roehl a bad company no. very good school and very nice people. Now if your a driver with attitude you wont last. I simply had horrible dispatchers and a truck that was broke down every week (can be proved pm me). i simply got tired of it and went my separate ways. Would i recommend them yes but nip any issues in the butt before they grow. if they grow they dont get solved i figured that out the hard way,

 

hey no worries...I am sorry that you had to part ways with the company...It sounds like it was mostly an equipment issue that your FM either refused to resolve or just couldn't (I am leaning more to the refused after dealing with him trust me I wanted to punch him in the face after talking to him for 5 minutes and I am easy to get along with.)...I got a new FM and she is out of Appleton...been done with training for awhile now...
