    VZ Navigator does truck routing.

Go to: Menu ---> Preferences ---> Route Options ---> Mode

    You have 4 choices/profiles

    ~ Car

    ~ Truck

    ~ Bicycle

    ~ Pedestrian

    *EDIT*

On a side note: VZ Navigator is very handy to have. Well worth the investment to have a GPS with you at all times.

GPS sure beats holding a 2 million candlepower spotlight out the driver's window on a cold, rainy night trying to find an obscure street sign that's been knocked over and overgrown with shrubs. I don't know how many times I've passed the street I needed to turn onto because I couldn't find or read the sign. GPS will save you an early death from that stress.

Yeah, but sometimes a GPS isn't all that accurate. Mine will on occasion tell me I arrived at my destination when my destination was 2 blocks down the road. Or the opposite happens and I blow by the customer.

I like the TomTom XXL series with the 5" screen. I can read it without my glasses, and it's very easy to mute the voice. :biggrin_25523:

Those are great and the cadillac of GPS's. They are made by Lowrance, the same company that been making high dollar ship navigation for years. I like the way it's hooked into your stereo system.

Like any GPS, you can go to the website and get more maps and upgrades.

The particular model in the Pete's are the Iway 600C RV which has truck routing.

They recently discontinued it, but you can still buy them many places for around $600. They are coming out with a new line.

Lowrance does make great units! For years I've had the iWay 250C, which is the bottom of the line but beats other high dollar brand GPS's I've compared it to.

I also have a Droid X phone with the vehicle cradle. Google has a great navigation system on it featuring traffic alerts that is pretty handy and it's all free with the phone.
