I am interested in running out of French Camp myself. Will I be able to get orientation there? I live in South Sac, and thinkin about moving to Galt or Lodi at some future point. But right now I just need to get back out there. Ive been off 3 years after a solid 11+ years OTR. Taking a refresher course for my class A. Should be good to go in a week or so and I am looking at Schneider.

ok so when i went for my interview i talked to my operations manager he said, south sacramento was a maybe hiring area. due to having to be at work on time. beings that you have a set start time and usually they have you set up nice and tight for the day. if you show up late you screw up delivery and pick up times. loads could be late for train departures and customers may refuse lds. im not trying to discourage you from trying, i would rather you know the facts then going in blind.

orientation for the Stockton, CA area is done at the French Camp Operating center, you go in for orientation for 3 1/2 days it starts monday with a ton of paperwork. tuesday is more paperwork and videos and a PTI and Drive test in a regional truck with a van. wednesday is video/testing. and friday is more videos plus another PTI and drive test this time you drive a day cab and an intermodal container. both drive test consist of driving for 15 mins and a angle back into a spot with trailers next to each side. FYI double clutching is mandatory for the drive tests.

any other questions just ask. more then happy to help!!!!!!!!

Hey thanks for the info. I am also considering trying to get on with this operation. Do they keep you busy enough and are the earnings what they said they would be? They told me 50K average for someone on the lower end of the pay scale. Thanks
