We do get paid for every extra stop - something like 50 for the first and 75 for each additional - or visy versyI'm going to check to make sure, so when I look at the settlement I will know for sure...

It the larger amounts for the 02 to the 98 and the lessor for the 99. Not that matters which order.
As a company driver it's 35 and 25. I don't leash so your on your own with those amounts.. -

Ok - here is a puzzle...
First Weight:
Steer - 13440
Drive - 22800
Trailer - 34240
Reweight: (Lengthened to 40')
S - 13820
D - 23760
T - 32820
Thinking the original CAT scale was off - rescaled at a different CAT scale: (40' length)
S - 13600
D - 23200
T - 33240
The only thing we could think of is that the back end is loaded so heavy and the front so light that its pulling up on the 5th wheel making the steers abnormally heavy... NEVER seen this happen before!!
Oh and yes - our 5th wheel is all the way back and hasn't moved...
So now we sit on the 'Hot Load'... unable to get detention because of their scheduling our 99 to 01 (they knew we were going to be past the appt. time - but it was a 'preloaded' trailer) - and its been over 8 hours while the 'rework' it...
Sigh... DM mentioned 'great miles on this load' (2500+) but so far we haven't gone any miles
Klingon Thanks this. -
Just left you a post on the Central thread. Let me know how it turns out, you guys have me curious. Always up for a good mystery!
Can be frustrating as hell though too! Especially a tight run like you guys have! So much for showers the next couple days huh guys?!Lady K Thanks this. -
Seriously!! They took off 2 of the drops and added one at our destination. The only thing we can figure is a teater-totter effect... something REALLY heavy on the back end of the trailer, which lifted the fifth-wheel area and put weight on the steers. The load we have now makes out GVW to 60K - so we are flying
however it took them over 12 hours to do it
chompi Thanks this. -
There was something very heavy in the front of the trailer past the kingpin. They put it in the front so it would not crush the lighter items but it is too heavy to be there.

Well we finally 'complained' about our miles... I have just finished my 4th 34hr reset in 2 weeks!! I just figured out our average for the last 17 weeks... its 3,972 miles/week... we need 5000+ and have only gotten that 3 weeks out of 17. The irony is - on the 19th we will be starting a 'home time' period for Thanksgiving (we will be working over Christmas time)... so that will put a kink in things. I think we will for SURE be going with a dedicated fleet when we get back off of home time. SOMETHING has to improve, and we probably shouldn't have let it go on this long, but we like our DM (personally) - she says 'it's the planners' - but then how come others get the miles?? Sigh...
On a fun note though - this run we are just getting loaded with will take us to a state we haven't been in yet - Rhode IslandJamming Gears Thanks this. -
Ahhhh... It is so nice being home... It will cost us a bit because we are taking 10 days, but it was needed. Something we haven't really let folks know is the reason we are taking a full 10 days.. It's because Gary had a cataract. Surgery was done yesterday and is a complete success! In fact he now has better vision in his left eye (the one that got fixed) than in his right eye
We also needed to have service done on the truck and a couple thing checked out on it... The freight liner dealer here in Sac is slowwww. So this next week will be time for friends, and putzing around with the truck. We will be starting on a dedicated fleet after Thanksgiving... Or at least that's the plan. So we'll type/talk later...

Ahhhhh, cataracts. Had to have both my eyes done and one of them done twice. Seems that they put the wrong lens in the 1st time. (oh joy). Will admit that it improved my eyesight a bunch and now, only need reading glasses for reading. Glad its not the BIG thing it used to be.
