Just think of a bridge deck as a pull tab on a soda can. You bend the tab back and forth and eventually it breaks - the never ending heavy truck traffic on that deck has the same effect. From my personal experiences just this summer going to anywhere in new england are not cherished thoughts. The road-ways are bad enough but they started surface milling
and completely stripping all asphalt off of concrete bridges creating a several inch edge. Whatever is in your truck and not tied down is gonna be on the floor. I've had A/C ducts come right out of the dash. Also makes you wonder how the trailer chassis can take that abuse fully loaded.
