Hello everyone
My name is Ron. I live in the panhandle/tristate area of Fl. Im 21 years old and am currently pursuing a career as a professional driver. My father drove a truck nearly all his life, mostly as owner op pulling cattle. His father also drove so I guess you could say its in my blood. I learned to drive my dads Pete when I was only 14 - didnt have my learners permit even. Been on plenty of trips out west, both on his truck and fourwheeling and can't get enough of the open road. I enjoy traveling and would like to see as much as I can. Ideally, Id like to be owner op OTR.
Im fully commited to being a driver. Ready to take my written test but need a truck for the skills portion. Squeaky clean driving record.
Graduated with Honors, great with numbers of all kinds, and proficient with nearly all computer areas short of programming(freetime on the truck will fix that)
Very openminded and easy going. I welcome all constructive criticism, tips, and tricks of the trade.
Thanks

Welcome to forum Ron!!

Hi Ron,
Welcome to TTR... It's nice to see a fellow 21yo graduate-turning-trucker! I also love traveling -especially out West - and hope to see at least a little more than white and yellow lines along the way! See you on the road soon! -
Welcome to the truckers Forums Ron.
Good luck -
Hi everyone, I'm Jeff. I'd been driving almost 10 years and was forced into an early retirement due to an unbelievable twist of fate. About a month ago my girlfriend and I was at a social gathering where I inadvertantly consumed a couple of marajuana brownies, the next day at work I had a random drug screen and of course that ended my carreer. I was just 6 years away from my planned retirement.
So, everyone be careful what and where you eat!
...be safe! -
That's what they all say!
Quite the coincidence, eh?
To those of you with pot-smoking friends, limit your exposure; refuse the brownies (and the bong!)
What do I know, though, I live in a state where marijuana is 100% illegal (not that it isn't prevalent).
-
Regardless, sorry about the termination... That's about as bad as cancer in this economy...

Thanks for the welcomes. Not sure why I get to host the marijuana topic but Id agree, watch what youre given.
