    This will cost more jobs. NAFTA was/is a job killer any way you look at it.

    this is the same when europe open the border to the east for trucks ,now not exist the truckingbuisness in europe only cheap eastdrivers,this will happen here in max 10 OR 15 years.the driver loose jobs ,the winner the big truckingcomanys(cheap drivers,and more big profit) P.D in europe not exist the O/O

    This will definitely cost more jobs. how will we compete with
    Mexican drivers making maybe 20 cents a mile?
    dam this don't sound good at all.

    I think this mexicandrivers make less then 20 cents for mile,I was talking in del rio,tx with one and he tell me hi make less then 200$ in a week

    I don't know if they can only deliver,pick up a load and go back to Mexico. I know that when I use to go to Canada during the late 90s. You can deliver a load in Canada, pick up a load back to the states. But if you pick up and deliver in Canada, it was a $5000 fine and a year in jail for the maximum penalty. If that's the case with the Mexican drivers, we might not have much to worry about

    It's the same agreement.

    However, I don't look for them to affect our wages for years to come.

    Reasoning: Not many companies in my area are going to tolerate a driver who can't/won't speak English.

    There will be a lot of "non" English speaking drivers sitting in the lot, waiting on translators.
