It was my choice to edit, I just met a couple of other drivers from on here and I wanted to add their names. Decided it was worth it.

So, we are sitting in the Irving Terminal waiting for our Fedex load tonight heading to PA. I dropped our trailer this morning and I need to go back in the early afternoon to retrieve it empty. Looking at everyone waiting for an MT around here, I could probably sell mine for a hundred bucks.

out on the road with trainer hes a nice guy having a good time in ohio right now off of 76
NoCoCraig Thanks this. -
Hmmmm, are you going to tell us who the trainer is?
-
He's propably sleeping right now....they repowered our load which delivers in the morning at 0830 about another 6 hrs away.....LOL
We were given an "HVP Team Required" load in Boling Brook, IL going to Walmart DC in Toby Hannah....we left this morning from Beloit, IL at 0730, got to load at 1000, left there at 1130.....a total run of about 825 miles. -
Morning - Just to let my friends know on here. As of yesterday I have left USX. I held back on posting this waiting the out come. My second load of running Solo was a 500 mile run that I was on time and a day early for.
I got to the shipper and was given the BOL's for the load, it was clear what trailer and that it was loaded by XXXX. I go out find the trailer, hook up to it, put the seal on the door, pre-trip the trailer and roll out. Keep in mind this is a new truck to my, had one load that was a short haul and a repower. This load sort of feels a little light, but what do I know.
A week later I get my settlement sheet and I am getting docked 50 miles out of route.
I call payroll to ask about this, I am told I am being charged 500 miles out of route for my second load, and it was reported by the Fleet Owner. No one even ever called me to ask me about this. I was told I took the wrong trailer. WRONG, I have the BOL and who it was loaded by. I call my FM, he does not know anything about it.
The trailer was empty with nothing in it, it was never loaded.
So I wait it out for over a week to hear the outcome of this ordeal. I finally got into Tunnel Hill yesterday the Fleet Owner is supposed to be there to talk to me about this. I wait for over 3 hours, nothing, then I get a call from my FM to come into the office. FO is not there but someone else is, we go into an office to talk about this. I say you are charging me 500 miles at a buck a mile out of route for a load I have the BOL for. He says yes and it is not going to change, I said well I just dont play this game, and I am all done.
For those of you that follow USX on FB, I posted it all there for Corporate to see it too. I have had some of the what I have been told to be the worst load for a new driver, and I had no issues with that. I would take a 10 hr break and be back up and running at 10:01. -
They should have called you, no excuse for that. However, I would never seal a trailer without looking inside first.
This sucks and sorry it did not work out for you.HD_Renegade Thanks this. -
At that point I really thought to my self that what ever was in the trailer was none of my business. I know differently now, but I should have not been charged for something like this. I ran my loads, I was always on time, and the big thing to me was I was professional about it with the shipper and the receiver and never walked in with PJ,s and flip flops on either.

They made a mistake and you made a mistake. They are still responsible for paying you for the load if you did not have to sign a count. It sounds like the fleet owner is kissing the customers ### and not charging them for the load and not paying you which is wrong. He can kiss butt all he wants but needs to pay. We have had this happen a couple of times recently on sealed loads when production was up so WE (drivers) implemented some double checks to try to prevent it.
This is another case of two million dollar companies trying to make the driver take the blame.HD_Renegade and Jarhed1964 Thank this. -
I hate to say it, but I've seen this way too often. Not bashing USX but at pretty much every company I've been with, it's the drivers fault. Period. I would have thought USX wouldn't allow this sort of shenanigan to happen. But then.... there is always some tar that will end up seeping through the cracks.HD_Renegade Thanks this.
