I all. I just applied to Central after reading the pages of this forum and was wondering should I be proactive and call a recruiter. I hate waiting. I think I just answered my own question. I appreciate all the feedback on this site and glad for all the upfront honesty.

Nope. Recruiter didn't lie. Chompi did. You do get the trk after 1-2 day oreintaton. Most times that day or the next.

Sorry misunderstood you. If you are going through school, orientation and then training the total time is roughly two months. As far as just being issued a truck it should be immediately after your mentor has tested you. Provided they have one ready for you.

With how long we are, with an empty trailer our steers are habitually heavy. As soon as we get any weight in the trailer it pulls the weight back to the steers. We had to get the 16 ply tires (which have a higher weight rating) for this reason. Of course we also try to not deadhead too much either. I know y'all got it all worked out though, just frustrating. About as frusstrating as getting bills totalling 40,500, and we ended with a gros weight just shy of 82k (meaning they loaded at least 43k) right before closing time too. Oh, yuck! Thank goodness there were no scales on the route we chose. That will make the trailer pull funny.

On a Central note, my cousin-in-law passed, so he will get to go out with a trainer on wednesday or so. I am happy for him, only wished he could have made the choice while we were still there so we could get the bonus.

    Lady K Thanks this.
