Is this your first go around with Carrier?

In case it isn't, I have a 96 Wabash with a Carrier that sits in my yard for storage. Compared to the TK's, it uses a lot more fuel and is LOUD.

But, the thing cools unbelievable. And it's approaching 30,000 hours.

There are a few companies that won't load a trailer that old.

But as good as it looks, you shouldn't have any problem, hopefully !!

I'd jump on it. As long as it doesn't look like a 14 yr old trailer, nobody worth dealing with will say a thing.

Definitely get it into a Carrier dealer for a major service + o/h just to be safe. That'll be old enough that you'll be dealing with rotten hoses/seals, dry bearings and whatnot even though the parts are like new.

And I take great pleasure in reminding my sister-in-law in Santa Barbara why her produce costs more at the grocery store than ours, even though it's grown right around the corner from her.

At 760 hrs in 14 years thats only 54.28 hrs a year. I would be really surprised if it was only ran a average of 1.04 hrs a week.

This low mileage 14 year old reefer is whats known as a cream puff in the car business. And as my next door neighbor can attest, cream puffs just might eat your lunch....And the sad part, you'll never know till it leaves you stranded with an expensive refrigerated load on it...

    I wouldn't buy it...Just my opinion..

Me personally I wouldn't touch it sound too fishy. 14 year old trailer with about 6 months worth of use. Sound like a rebuild with hours turned back
