well guys im not in the blue truck anymore. I picked up a 41000lb load in baltimore and took it to chicago. On the trip up there the truck started losing about a gal of oil a day. they got it into the shop in gary. They found that the head gasket was the source of the leak and told me to go talk to my Fm cuz they where not going to fix it right away. Some other driver showed up there the next night and turned in a 2012 international. I am now in that truck.

Lucky...I wouldn't mind one of those new prostars...I think they look awesome...

they are nice. they have lots of storage. my only complaint is it doesnt have a frige or inverter. When i go back out im going to get routed through marshfield so they can install an inverter.
childerscarl1 Thanks this. -
not sure how much power you need , but i run a 750 watt converter ( black and decker ) from walmart that plugs into the cigerette lighter
and has worked well. but if your using a real fridge, then you will have to go to marshfield. -
how much are the inverters at marshfield?? not like I need one right now i have an APU on my truck...just for future reference (probably distant future..)...but I am curious..

as far as i know roehl dosent sell the inverters, you by one at a trk stop that meets there specs and they will install it in your trk for a installation fee. i think the drg covers this.

STEXAN YOU ARE ONE SMART COOKIE....NOW GIVE ME THE NUMBERS FOR THE POWER BALL JACKPOT..LOL

Yea Roehl sells and installs the inverters. This is the only way they'll put one in. If I remember correctly they are around $160 installed (but it's been a while). As to mileage, the only way I can get close (old Blume truck with auto shift) is keep it in manual and drive it like a stick. I also agree when the temps drop below 55 or so I never get the mileage they want.

Oh, and about backing into docks with the smart shift. They aren't true automatics like in a car. They have a clutch (just no pedal.) You have to keep the RPM's up to keep it engaged. Thus you must throttle them and if you need to, apply the brakes while keeping the RPMs up or they'll disengage and that's why they jump. It's engaging and disengaging. Up hill will be the worst but you just have to keep the RPMS up to keep the clutch engaged. I hope this helps some.

Well i talked to maintance and they told me the inverter is 1200 watt and it is set up to turn off after 2 hours. It cant be turned back on for 10 hours after that. It costs $350 and they are nice enough to break that up over 5 payments through payroll deduction.
