Where to look for a job with 1 DUI non-cmv in 2009. 17 years accident free doubles/triples/tanker/hazmat (I dropped the Hazmat) all weather experience. Any help is greatly appreciated! As for those who wish to thump me for what I have done, TRUST ME, this has been a very humbling experience, it cost me everything. I made bad choices and had to learn the lesson the hard way. My license what my livelihood and I took it and my job for granted. Thanks again for looking. Any job leads are greatly appreciated. I am in the Cincinnati, OH area.
Value your license and a clean record!

Where? How about somewhere over by 2014......that's the only place that's hiring DUI's.

Your gonna have to find a goood lawyer that can get that conviction masked/covered/removed/and/or dismissed.....otherwise your just gonna be some O/O's bytch and hope you can get paid... Insurance companys will blackball you...Calif penal code 1203.4 is our code but you should have something similar ......

Unfortunately it wouldnt matter if you had 30 yers experience with a Ph.D. A recent DUI will kill everything. Its not like the good old days anymore where you had to be real drunk to get a DUI. Here in Ohio, two beers will do the job at .08 BAC. I guess its ok to swerve all over the road while drinking a soda with one hand and talking on a cell with the other, but have two beers and your life is ruined. Its all about the money my friend.

A DUI is pretty much a career ending ticket. I don't even know of any O/O's that would hire a 2nd seat with a DUI due to insurance problems.

Pro-Drivers wouldn't even look at you. I'm afraid you are out of luck until your 'mistake' falls off of your record.

i have heard of companies that hire after 3 years, and then others that hire after 5 years. these things change, the requirements are fluid.
your best bet is to keep applying. insurance companies decide who gets hired and who doesnt, you have to have a record well above average to get hired these days because of how many people that apply. people quit their job thinking that theyll get another job easily and end up finding out nobody will touch them.
MVR requirements have tightened significantly, and these days everything shows on your record, a no fault, non preventable accident on your record can make it so youre outside of their criteria. -
Just work the dock at a local ma and pa intrastate operation and go from there. I know a guy that did that. First dock, then hostled, then drove with only 2 years between handcuffs and keys.
