Dont believe the new drivers

    All over the road companies use people. The govt is also in it stripping the industry of every last cent so drivers get nothing thanks to, taxes, deregulation and a lack of a union. Trucking pays low wages, if you are thinking about becoming a driver I warn you it is not a good choice.

    Dont believe what you read, just do the math. You will be getting about 2500-2700 miles a week X that by how much you are getting a mile and then subtract taxes and $200 a week for living out there and it isnt a good living. I have never seen new trucks and cars sitting in the drivers parking lot of a trucking company. By driving you are helping the govt and trucking companies keep trucking wages rock bottom, please do not go to trucking school

    If you live out of the truck stops like many do, smoke cigarettes and stay out, it's easy to spend $200 or more a week. I spent about $150 a week doing the Walmart thing.

    There's plenty out there that spend it faster then they get it with advances too. Just stand in a fuel line. They always have a new toy to buy.

    If I spend $40 a week....I screwed up somewhere.

    New cars and trucks in the driver parking lot ???

    What? You think I'm gonna park my nice car in the same lot with a bunch of clowns that can barely chew gum and walk at the same time....you're out of your mind.

    200/7 =28.57 a day. Three meals a day thats 9.52 a meal. Stop eating in the truckstop... I'm 6 foot 240 and can make a ten dollar pizza last 3 days. Not happy about it but can...
