Cobra 29 lx and a K40 antenna

    would A cobra 29 lx and A K40 antenna be a good combo for my first cb set up.

    Been driving truck for 20 years and this would be your first cb?



    Have a cobra 29 army ltd edition and a K40...works fine.

    its real simple for simple minded people I have been A local driver for a food company having to hand deliver ,somthing alot of stearing wheel turners dont know anything about called work . Now I changed jobs with my company driving backhaul/pick up accross the south east I hope this clears it up for the Smart ### SUPER truckers that dont want to help answer a simple question......................................

    For the answer you were looking for, yes it is the exact set-up that i run. Just make sure you check your swr's and get them low as poss. You dont have to have thousands in your cb set-up if you have a good solid antenna set-up

    Yes. I've got the 29 LX and a wilson 2000 (same as the K40). Works nicely. Plus this month the k40's on sale at Pilot.

    A Francis antenna will work good also. I used them for years and they are cheap. Just depends on how much you want to spend. Above poster is correct, no need to spend a lot of money to talk on a CB. Some guys spend hundreds just to sound big but can't talk across a parking lot.
