Have you ever been parked at a truck stop, inside for a coffee and when you come back out to your truck and see damages done to your truck? The other driver hit you and just took off. Or have you been charged a deductable or lost your safety bonus because of some other 4 wheeler that claimed you hit him? How about charged for a traffic light or stop sign that you know you had the right of way? I have had many drivers come and tell me that I wish I had a camera in my truck to show what really happened. I bought a camera for my truck that I would never ever want to be without when im trucking. Just do a search its called a blackvue dash camera. I searched the web and there was lots of pictures on you tube and then I found cameras for sale in Canada. I did a google search on Acuity Compliance and found a supplier. I have been looking for somthing for a few months and I'm glad I found one. I just view it on my computer when I need to see something. Its Cool.

I have a contour hd gps pro in my windshield. Company is out of Seattle and has a great customer service dept that helps with all kinds of stupid questions.
    http://contour.com/products

This camera records, speed, time, altitude, in hd (so u can get clear picture of plates etc).
I have used it for two years now.
I just wipe the memory card clean after it fills up (two hours), if nothing intresting happens. If I see an accident and catch it on tape, I have the option of forwarding it to authorities if I want. Cause I own the rights to the video. If some one causes something bad for me I have some video help on my side. The list goes on and on.

Point is, a camera is good IF its yours and you own the rights to the video on it and you know how to use it.

Yours sounds interesting George, this one records onto a small disk that I put into my lap top and it records for almost 24 hours even when Im not in my truck. It stores events longer then the normal driving time. The way I look at it is if something happens I will share it if it is somthing I did I will just keep the info for myself. Helps me cover my ??? when I need to.
