I am new to posting, I have been reading threads on here for probably a month, my husband and I are going to go to school to get our cdls. We would really like to find a company that will hire us as a team but not run 24/7. I know we wont make as much money but would like some down time together 6-8 hours a day. I have read people talking about it but never mention companies that do this or at least not on the west coast. I have heard it called super solo or super single or 1.5 team. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I would prefer no negativity but constructive critisizem is acceptable. Thanks in advance. :biggrin_25520:

I believe that you are talking about a situation where a couple runs as a team but will both stop and sleep at the same time. Both may drive, but the husband may drive most of the miles. The truck doesn't run 24/7.

Yes that is what I am talking about. Do you know of any companies that allow that?

I am not as familiar with the team carriers, but I do know that Covenant is big on teams. If you live near a truck stop you might stop by and check some of the trucking magazines. They are free and can usually be found near the fuel desk entrance. They are full of ads and phone numbers for various carriers. I would pick up some of the magazines and start making phone calls to see what they might have to offer.

    dljvj Thanks this.
