Conway Truckload Drivers what is your 20?

Sitting in Laredo, trying to go home. I am the only driver at the yard NOT waiting for a load.

 

I'm in Elgin, IL. Arr here last night. Disp said I had to be here at 0445 this morning. Then found out customer is closed til 0700 Monday. Will get a 34 out of this. Next stop is Neenah, WI.

 

How many of you normally get a preplan? I don't see them very often.

 

Pretty scarce for me as well. Eating a bite near Missouri/Iowa line. On my way to near Waterloo, Ia as the first of a 3- stopper Other two are in the Chicagoland area.

 

Only preplan I have seen thus far was for my way home.

 

We are sitting in St. Could, Minnesota waiting to pickup at 2200.

When he was solo we almost never got preplans but now I'd say we are preplanned (even if it doesn't pick up right away) about 80% of the time.

 

My husband gets preplans 8/10 times except for this weekend we delivered to Lakewood New Jersey and still had 4hrs left and was told to go to the truck stop and wait for a load, our dispatcher left for the day and weekend didnt get us anything till Saturday night which picked up at 2300 UPS in Newark going to Buffalo and Rochester,NY. After that we got preplaned to grab a load in Rochester and take it to Henderson,KY, so that's what we're fixen to do. LOL Be Safe Everyone

Just wanted to pass some info along..... Odessa/Midland Texas is hiring LTL drivers like crazy. They have no driver and are having to have other terminal send some of their drivers down there. All the drivers they had took off to the oil field. They are giving an $8000 sign on bonus (**Eligible for $500 sign-on bonus in addition to $1500 retention bonus after 6 months; $3000 after 12 months; and another $3000 retention bonus after 24 months***) My brother in law is down there right now, filling in from OKC,Ok. Just thought I share
