Im in my second week in school, so far the easy thing for me has been the driving and backing up, The pretrip and air brake tests and knowing all the parts of the truck have been tough so far.

There was 3 of us in my class and we would carry around the pre-trip paper all the time. We would all take turns doing a pre-trip naming the parts and what you are checking for out loud and we would all be paying attention to the guy that was doing it. We did this before doing anything else. It helped us (we all passed on first try) and maybe it will help you. Just keep it up, you will get it.

after the inital loss, the air preassure did not drop more than.... For me that was the key. The tuff part was remembering the down hill operation & haz mat rail road crossing. It all comes together at the end. The pre trip is the easiest because it is just say what you see .:biggrin_25520:

    You betcha. Practice, practice, practice.

If possible, as posted above, review the entire Pre-Trip Inspection procedure with another student or students. And, ask if any of your fellow students have a mechanical background.

As a much younger man I was a heavy equipment/truck mechanic. This makes all the related parts easy for me, and I am happy to help other students who struggle a bit.

Hang in there and good luck!
