I still have that voicemail you left me about that on my phone. I listen to it anytime I need to laugh.

Im supposed to be back in Springfield to get my new truck by the 18th. Will you be done and still in town?
I'm not waking up early to watch any check presentation at the Friday meeting. Or do they only do that publicly for people who've firmly decided they'll be back? -
I asked to be in Monday to turn the truck in Tuesday, but will be in late tonight / early tomorrow and will probably turn in Sunday, possibly Monday. I'm not sure if I'll still be around Friday, but if you're in town, you should go for the free breakfast, never mind that driver getting a $16,000+ (my estimate right now) payout.

Well a little change of plans at the last minute. Talked to an instructor from MI in the flatbed division and he asked me if I wanted to go out for my PSD with him. Talked to his student he was dropping off for TNT phase and decided sure why not...lol! Only thing I haven't done is pull a flatbed and I love an adventure, so here I go! We're heading out tomorrow to who knows where? Spin the wheel!

Enjoy flatbedding oldman! Securement isnt rocket science. Just keep whatever is on the trailer, from falling off lol
imyouroldman Thanks this. -
After prime accept me into their training program,(have not applied yet) and the only instructor there to train me is a flatbed driver, i would be willing to go with him and learn how to secure and tarp loads, besides i need to loose some weight anyway by doing some hard work. I would prefer reefer, but i would give skateboarding a try for training time only, so when i switch to reefer i will be nice and slim.

I think I will enjoy it ORD! My instructor is about my age and I figured if he can do flats, I should be able to. I'm in pretty decent shape and I have always loved learning new stuff and love a challenge. Loved it when he said he NEVER sits waiting on a load and usually has his next one all lined up!

Well, one thing I DO remember from trucking 15 years ago is "go with flow"...lol. Load to Utah was over gross for us, soooo now we are waiting to re-power a load coming out of Larado going to Hanover, MA. Should be heading out on Sunday!
