Hey all. This is a pretty informative forum. I've got some questions. I've been driving local for about 2 years now here in central Florida. I thought I would go OTR for a little while to see what it's like. I don't have kids or a wife, so there won't be anyone missing me at home. I'm just a little nervous because i've never been away from home for long periods of time. I applied to Crete and they called me back. They rented me a car and they're going to pay for gas and my hotel room. All I have to do is drive to Atlanta for orientation. They are also going to buy me dinner and pay me $140 for orientation. They sure are shelling out the bucks for me and don't even know me yet. I hear they are real good company, it sounds like I could make some really good money with them. One day I may become an O/O, and this seems to be a good way to find out if I can hack it out there. What do y'all think?
Hello, I'm a noob... sort of

I'd say give it a shot. Crete's a decent company, at least they will be after they get out of that ###### wally world account. Your a big boy go out and see the world, its full of strange and interesting people and things and they are all out on the road somewhere. If you don't like it you can always go back to doing local.
