    All right Prime Land,

Let's have some fun here. I was reading a post on another thread that was funny, so I thought we needed a fun post where we can post the crazy things we see out here on the road, it the funny rookie things that we do. So if you got them post them, pics if you have them. Who knows it might help your fellow prime drivers from doing the same.

Here goes mine. I have plenty of miles under my belt, and a lot of miles in CA. Last week I was driving on the 101 and was south of oasis robles. I can't tell you how many times I've been down this hwy. To say the least I wad doing double nickel and came on a 6% down grade. The grade was 1.5 miles long. I was empty so I figured hairs will hold me. Well they did hold 55. 1/4 way down I look to the right of the road and what I see....... a 35 mph truck sign. Oh $%&@**$?#+-&!()"*#*, I tell my trainer as he is sitting in the passenger sit. I back off and get the truck to 35 mph. I look up and long behold who sitting on the shoulder blacked out. California Highway Patrol. Speeding ticket 48 mph on a 35 mph down grade. Moral of the story watch your signs especially in CA. Wnhere's my rookie sign............ LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!! Lesson learned

Paso Robles? Maybe your auto-correct? Your probably talking about Cuesta Grade.

I have family in Santa Maria, and I grew up outside Fresno. So I've been on that section of 101 hundreds of times as a non trucker. Probably 3 or 4 as a trucker.

Traveling between those two cites also means passing the infamous intersection of CA 46 and CA 41... Where James Dean died in a horrific car crash.

Heres mine of the same guy Kris that eat all the icecream. He was the type of guy that always wanted to do everything. One night before he would drive (we were hauling bedbugs so I had him as a lumper) I got tired on one of those long back roads. I pulled of in what looked like solid ground. WRONG. I sunk in like it was in quicksand.
I slept and he kept watch for a truck coming to help. This long befor the cellphones. He gets a cowherse on the CB (bull hauler) He stops and kris Crawls under the bull trailer to hook up a chain. As he is under the back of the trailer Here comes a trail of piss and $^*# right on is stumach. He start yelling at us to stop puring water on him. Then he relieses that we are it in the middle laughing are aress off. So he get up takes off all his clothes and get a new set on. To make matters worse He had taken the landing gear crank off to try to dig us out and left it there. When we got to a stop to get a repair we needed to drop the trailer. @#$% no crank handle. @$#&^@#$^*^#%&* So I made him crank the landing gear down and back up with a screwdriver. I'm so mean. LOLOLOL

Walking outside, and seeing my husband backing up his rig into and down the driveway....It was dark, and he "lost" the station wagon. (We don't have lights outside.) Fortunately, I heard this strange LOUD sound out front and had run out there (as fast as a short, fat woman w/ a dislocated rib can anyway) and got him to stop...he still had a good 2 feet, but still. The car is the dark navy blue, and in the dark, #### near invisible.

This was after I had told him to call when he got off the turnpike (2miles) so that I could meet him at the front of the "neighborhood" and we could make sure that anything hanging down (like trees...) could be taken care of.

Men! Ya'll listen SOOOOOO well. Almost as well as children. (/sarcasm)

Upshot. Yes, he can get the whole rig in here. No, not if it has a load in it.

Been down roads I shouldn'tve been on.... roads barely big enough to hold my truck. Have gotten good at maneuvering this spread axle though. It's harder to maneuver the spread axle than a reefer trailer. Da1 can attest to that fact.

First I got pulled over on my first solo run. I was with swift at the time. Cop said i was speeding, did a level 1, and I forgot my darn wallet on his dashboard and took off. had to call all over indiana state police to track him down.

And the next, Was a misshap with a faulty dock lock.
