Lets put it this way, its just like realestate location location location.
I myself like customers off hwys easy in and out, not to be bog down pulling hills or taking curves, time is money. Also I prefer keeping my trk clean, inside and out. Paper mills can be a real mud hole.

Heavy loads do come with part of business, but with paper u will be top heavy and not secure like normal pallet loads. That strapping, flooring wedges do break loose.

What i dont understand is i believe you only ever worked @ deboer and got trained by them, u went local for a good paying job. Well Ive talked to the locals up there and they had much more experience then you i wouldnt call $12 and hr. good. But you must be getting a kick back somewhere down the line, to be posting so strong about 1 co. the only co. u ever been with out otr. So in other words what im telling you is you aint got a clue, with out experience on loads, trucks, terminals and $$$$$ Now good luck, get back to me when you got atleast 10 yrs in.:biggrin_25518:

Okay I don't believe that I ever said I was the most experienced trucker in the world. I simply said that deBoer was a great company. So your little "come back in 10 years" comment was kinda stupid. Some of what you said is exaggerated, I merely pointed that out the inconsistencies. If you don't like that then don't read this thread. Obviously you don't like deBoer and that's okay, to each his own. I know they have some problems but overall they are a great company.

I don't know where you got that "up there" comment. I live in Texas. I get some kickbacks at work so I think everything works out. I make a good living and I'm happy where I am.

Also, there is no way for me or anyone on here to verify how much of a "clue" you have, so please stop pretending to be a trucking wizard.
If you wish to point out problems at deBoer please do, and don't attack me.

    Kutina Thanks this.

Again:biggrin_25518:I havent made claim to trucking wizard.
1.) your location shows cow town, unless it moved u would b in WI.
2.)I didnt think my little come back was stupid, or i wouldnt have posted.
3.) I post 4 unexperinced drivers to gain knowledge, which means $$$.
4.) Freight lanes, will make are break you.. Like 55mph states, cost of running 55 mph or 65 mph.
5.) This wasnt and attack on your creditabilty, just a way to point out your mistakes and false claims. Which after awhile a driver with a brain would figure out.
6.) I maintain, i havent attacked u, just repleying back.
7.) you do remind me of a person who is lying just by being so deffensive.
8.) I am and O/O . not running under full authority. But maybe someday soon. And i want others to know, whats right:biggrin_25518:

Since when is Cowtown in Wisconsin. Hey there salty dog maybe you just made a rookie mistake.
Fort Worth, TX is commonly referred to as Cowtown. But then again don't believe me as I am a liar.

Obviously we disagree but man was it funny when you said Cowtown was in Wisconsin. Little bit of credibility went down the drain on that one. Okay we don't like each other and we'll leave it at that. Have a good one wizard.

Im sorry i did assume WI. land of dairies and cheese would be better fit, as cow town. I havent ever seen a cow in FT Worth, just bad drivers and traffic problems. I do try to avoid that area, but i ran FT. Worth to Denver 2 yrs dedicated, in 02 and 03. I havent ever seen a bull hauler in FT Wort, i will ch this out next time thru, with a local. What do u call Amerillo, space city:biggrin_25523:

Well it just struck me weird that you have so much experience but somehow made a huge mistake like that. You said you assumed, you mean you have never heard of Cowtown before at all? Wow!!!! Anyway it doesn't matter. Look a lot of what you said is true, but some of it is not. A top heavy paper load? The rolls lay on the ground. Maybe you had a bad experience at DeBoer, I didn't. I know for a fact that I have never had a paper load be top heavy or shift at ALL. I just don't want some new guy to read this and think that hauling paper is hard or anything. It isn't difficult at all and is usually the fastest to unload when you get to the consignee.
These are not just my opinions you know. I have sat in a lot of truck stops and listened to a lot of drivers. I have talked for hours with other DeBoer drivers in the yard. My opinions are shared by many. But what really ticks me off about you is the fact that you stated that I didn't have a clue, Care to take that back now?

You ran to Ft. Worth for two years and never saw a cow or a MOhauler. (There not called Bullhaulers.) Are you freakin kidding me? There is a whole herd of them right off 35 at Western Center, off 820 and Beach, 377 and Tiger Trail and my God I could go on and on. Never seen a Mohauler, huh? Ever heard of I35W? There's only a couple hundred or so out there. I don't know man for somebody who has been to Cowtown so much and been in trucking for ever you sure don't know a lot. Hate to say that I really do but man I'm stunned by some of your statements. Might I inquire to what your truck number was while at DeBoer or who your dispatcher was?
