This question is answered all over this forum..... I began orientation the 17th of may, got my CDL June 23rd, started getting paid that next week. It will vary how long it takes any one person. Average.... Less than a month.

    Thanks DTB!!!

Well. Hometime finally coming to an end. Last night in my parents house then back on the truck tomorrow.

It's a bittersweet feeling. On one side I know I'll miss my family and the friends but on the other side I miss doing my job and being out on the road.

The road sure does call to you, found myself making excuses just to go back to my truck at more then enough occasions. Here's to future adventures and who knows where I go next.

ORD's answer is probably representative of what you're going to see on that. Just remember, the wheels must be turning to receive anything - if you're sitting in the hotel waiting for a trainer, getting upgraded, on hometime, etc - you don't get paid for that. You must be on a truck AND available for dispatch - we don't get paid on a salary system in trucking.

If you're in the hotel waiting on a trainer you should be getting the guarantee pay.

??? I don't recall that I got paid waiting on a trainer, but its been awhile. Could be a policy change or the ol' altzheimer's kickin' in! LOL!
