    will try to make this fast,1st week cuba al.,alot of orientation physical,testing ect.the place really felt like a #### cult,they talked about all the camras and how they were wired with sound in certain rooms i thought they were going to pull some snakes out and start praying to them or pass out some koolaid.we started with 9 by the end of 1st week we were down to 4.three left on there own,they were the smart ones.all they talked about was safty and the smith system,which i agree with both.my trainer was a real scum bag from woodville al.,named DON,a real fat ###.the first thing he says to me is there is no cussing in my truck or around me or smoking,im a christian.....im a christian too but i do smoke and cuss some,let him with no sin cast the 1st stone,right....so i sucked it up like the corp taught me and tryed to stay motivated.the 1st thing he trained me on was how to cheat on the log books without getting caught,you know how to do the math and miles etc.he never started his books until he picked up his 1st load 4 or 5 hours into the day.the second thing he trained me was to jump into the sleeper when we came into scales and if we had to stop i was to fix his log real fast and toss it by his seat.....wtf on thursday night he drank a half a bottle of ny quel and was all over the road,so i took over.after the 1st week of traing i was on duty for 82 hrs.in a 5 day period,and they were geeting me a room for the weekend in scootsboro al.,and i found out at 1.oo am they didnt make me a resavation,i was pissed and tired,i paid for my room woke up at 8 and kicked it back to ga.i called cuba al.to tell them i couldnt go out my 2nd week and monday morning i called there lying ### safty manager PAUL ,to let him know my issues with mister DON and see about getting another trainer,7 calls later he never called back,thats all i need to know......some great safty manager.I was able to land a local job driving ga,sc,nc,and tn 2 weeks later so think god for looking out for me.In closing i know mtl has some good drivers because i met some of them but there safety manager Paul and Don are a disgrace to the trucking industry and give it a bad wrap..........

    It's Alabama. The whole state is a good ol' boy network. Lived there for 4 years.

    Apparently, they didn't stress reading comprehension in South Dakota, either. Our O/P is from Georgia.

    And I hope this regional gig works out for him.

    Dude...I would have called safety right then and there (or put a message on the Quallcomm documenting this) saying, "Get me off of this truck." You know NyQuil is anywhere between 20% - 40% alcohol?

    Yep, you're correct, I missed the well known state abbreviation of;

    QUOTE:> ga.i

    Since when did we start attacking people for how they write?

    If you really were paying attention, you would see the "." ..between "ga" and "i," indicating a sentence separation. Therefore, the "ga," while not capitalized, is the correct abbreviation for "Georgia."

    i like the bike in the picture, i owned a rigid at one time. i wish i had it back. i traded the seat that sat on the frame for a solo springer seat, it helped a little. it was fun.
