My Prime eLog - Starting Nov. 29, 2011

GSWx, I will enjoy T-Day, but is was a hard decision to decide to wait till after T-Day.

I want to get the ball rolling on training. I don't know many that may be thinking the same as I, but I want to get in a truck with a trainer now while the weather is nasty so that I have some training time with these conditions.

I wouldn't want to be out in these conditions as a solo driver and not have a bit of wisdom of how to best deal with conditions on winter driving.

See you in class. As others have stated about having Permit in hand before being at prime, I have mine and hope that helps the process while in orientation. Also have all of Endorsements except HAZMAT.

 

Good idea to get training over the evil months, I mean winter. I probably should've, but I'm face the winter solo

I'll see you there as well. I was in the Oct. 18 orientation got all the way up to Thursday afternoon and was told I had to go home to clear up some medical issues. Anyway, I got everything taken care of and got the go ahead from my recruiter to come back. I will be flying in on November 30. From my short time there. I can tell you that I can't wait to get back. You get tons of info in a short time but I enjoyed learning new skills. Had some great folks in my class that are now on the road training. The hardest part is saying goodbye to the wife and kids when I leave again.

 

hey everyone. i will also be joining the class the 29th, a bit nervous but hope all will go good. got the permit ready to get the tires rolling. hope everyone one has a good turkeyday. no food poisoning please lol

 

Looks like we will all be in good company on the 29th. Im getting real anxious like when I was a kid before the first day of school....lol

 

Be sure to bring several black pens. I brought 2 and lost one my first day, I guarded the second one like my life depended on it.

 

anyone know if its cold up there?
