Got my CDL in March.Took all the tests when getting my permit (tanker,hazmat,dbl-trpl)then went and got fingerprinted for hazmat threat assesment.Took 2 months for approval letter to come through.Had dbl-trpl&tanker put on CDL when they were issued and got hazmat added later. You can pull certain tankers w/out hazmat.

A reissue of a CDL costs you $100? ####. I paid $10 for both endorsments ($5 per test) and reissue of a CDL costs nothing here. Here you finger print first get the appoval papers then take them to the DMV to take the test so when the test is complete they reissue a new CDL with the endorsments on it within about 10-15 minutes and your out the door. I love our new DMV system here. The longest I've had to wait was an hour even with a full room of people waiting. It's no lng an all day affair here anymore.

It did at the time, 2005. I dunno what the costs are anymore. I know they quit printing the drivers manuals because it saves them $400,000 a year. They have one copy that they might let you look at. They also might shoot at you if you try to leave with it.

Oh, but all the tests are free no matter how many times you take them.

Welcome to the board. Why did you get a triples added to your license?

Doubles and triples are the same endorsement.

lol yea. I have a hard copy of both Louisiana and Missouri but I have no use for them. I think the online study guides can be printed. Yea the endorsment tests are cheap it's the finger printing for hazmat and twic that costs out the arse.

Why not? You only limit yourself when you dont have a needed endorsement. Why wait until you need it? He just needs 6 mos of exp and then the Long Combination Vehicle test (from employer) and hes good 2 go for doubles and triples

Hazmat printing was $85 and I have no use for a twic card. I'm not wasting money on multiple copies of the same ID.

Long Combination Vehicle test? I don't think we have that here.
