I recently purchased a connex 3300 from a guy at the local flea market. I figured for $30.00 what a bargain, right? What a rip off!! The thing has all kinds of stuff wrong, bad solder joints and the dummy sprayed WD40 all inside the thing. So really what I got was ANOTHER spare parts radio. But anyway ....Is it at all possible to remove the echo board from the connex and put it in my galaxy959DX? If it can be done, how hard is it? If ya got the time hit me back and let me know.

Hey thanks for the update on the meet. I'll definatly pen that one on the ol' calander! The reason for removing the board and instaling it in my galaxy is, the connex is a dead spare parts radio as far as I know. Took it over to Dave at at Metro and he even said it was pretty much a lost cause. I just have a real tuff time with people who sell things knowing, all along that it's dammaged or broken. I hate liars and theives. Just be honest and tell me whats wrong and sell at a fair price. But anyway..... Thanks for the info!! 73s around your place. And have a blessed thanksgiving.

Yes! Dave at Metro Electronics is the best tech I know in the state. I've always been impressed by his knowledge and the way he treats his customers. Always honest with everyone. But anyway, I can't make the gig on the 10th of Dec. due to prior commitments, but I will search the internet for that scanner. Hey wait a minute-mabey I'll just go hit up Dave!!!

A simple scanner is not a lot of money .... BTW ....

Many 2 meter HT's have wide band receivers Like the VX-2 you might think of that if you get a deal you can't refuse ......

Aso don't buy any scanner if you want to lissen to trunking systems like PD or fire unless they can be REBANDED .... for HAM and other used any scanner will do ....

VX-2 is left of the TS-2000 with rubber ducky antenna ...
