I got into this business in 1972.
All I've ever heard is, "...it use to be so much better"
While I agree, things are not as good as they use to be, it's just the nature of business.
All the complaining in the world won't change things.

Now that I've made myself giddy with grief....

 

I agree 100%. Been in this business since 1963 and I ain't arguing with a bunch of bias drivers who blame the demise of this industry on anyone except themselves. I got a big question, when did this country become a "socialistic society"??? Under what President or under what Admistration????????????? The Wall Street crowd did it with the consent of the middle class.!!!!!!!!!

 

To answer your question....
Since Woodrow Wilson pushed for and got the 16th Amendment passed...That was the beginning of Socialism in America.....

History has proven that Socialistic societies tax their citizens at oppressive and unrepresentative rates....and control behavior (What the citizens consume, leisure time, education, employment etc...) as part of "maintaining the system"...

 

I am on my way to wherever this is. If I find it I will let you guys know. YEEE HAAAWW

 

That means that both parties have the history in this and of continuing the practice.

 

I have never stepped back and thought much about this point as far as socialistic trucking company.

I have thought this more along the lines of capitalistic operations. It becomes more of economy.

I will think more of this.

 

This sort of thing is happening in nearly all of the job sectors in this country.

Next thing you know they will call letting Non-US citzens drive trucks all over the US outsourcing.

The middle class machine is colapsing in on itself period.
No child left behind? That's just another way of saying our next workforce is not prepared to hold the posistions and perform as required to drive the economic engine for the banks of the world.

We are a nation of consumers, no longer exporting as we used to, creating in general, a problem with the production and flow of money and widgets.
