RDTC Start 11/21/11 Happy [early] Thanksgiving!

Same here, got my gear almost all packed, and just got a whole heap of snacks for the ride! I'll be leaving Friday but I'm chilling with some friends in Ohio on the way. Basically counting down the hours now!

 

Arrived alive- it was a fun 3 day hike but I'm finally in Marshfield!
Holy crap Woodfield Inn Rocks!
(Probably doesn't help I stayed in a crap budget inn in Joliet last night lol)
Really though, I'm ready for this. Might hit the jacuzzi before bed to chillax a bit.
After that, I'm ready to rock!

 

WOW. I'm done with day 3 and I've been so beat by the end of each day I can hardly collect my thoughts to talk about it! I managed to get up early and make a new blog post this morning, though. I heard we would be driving in the range on day 1 but I never imagined I'd be on a ROAD by day 3, let alone feeling comfortable with it.

Working with Dale and Bob is way more fun than I thought this would be, they really are the best. I'm one of only 2 in the class who don't already have a CDL of some kind, so I'm a little unmatched but its funny how we're all getting in sync with each other at the different tricks. But I'm a little nervous because if we're all at an acceptable level by next week, they'll try to squeeze the exams in on Wednesday instead of Friday because of Thanksgiving. I'm getting good, but its a little daunting to think that I need to try to be 100% in 6 more days.

I can already tell by the progress I've made that this was the right call. This is the best I've felt in a long time, I can't thank you all enough for helping me make this decision!
