I have an Volvo 780,
The temperature gage in the dash seems be off about 2 to 7° and even worse when you pulled to an stop. I was just wondering where is that sensor located, I know it has to be some where in the engine compartment. #Has anybody replace the sensor,or remove it to different location, so it's little more accurate.
Just checking to see if anybody has done this.

Volvo VNL780. 2007 D12

Mine is located near the back of the head, passenger side, sticking straight up, coming out of head, water port down from the thermostates.
Could also be the computer readout enstead of the actual sensor. -
exuse me for delay.
B22B - Ambient temperature sensor in under the hood, somewhere in the center above the bumper. Wires run from right head light assembly. It is small black plastic thing with two pin connector. To access it - turn steer wheels right, tilt the hood. -
i'll try to find a diagram of sensor location....

So this black plastic thing ! is it replaceable, Mine is way out of adjustment, Like it could be 29˙ out side, and the dash is showing 35˙
-
it is easy to change.
