Why? Most of us on this website belong to the "middle class" and if we had any "backbone" about us, we would stop this collapse. We were "suckered" into this, by Corporate America, in believing in a "trickle down economy". Well it didn't happen, did it????

I don't know how the members of this site look upon the "occupiers", but at least they have more "balls" than the most of us.

The occupiers have no clue, no design, no plan for anything! Give me your money and take it from the rich isn't really a plan.....is it???? Come on know.... Let's occupy private property, refuse to obey the law, obstruct lawful citizens in their endeavors... yeah, good plan... BUT..... they are getting on the news a lot!!!
    WOOHOO!!!

I don't know of any company driver making $500 per day. I thought I was doing good at a minimum of $321.11 per day. I am home every night and do the same 341 mile trip Monday thru Friday. $500 does sound better.

    Drive safe

I only do 80ish miles per day

On a side note - 2 weeks pay, take home, 8-10 hours a day.

    Edmonton, Alberta, Canada

Ps: I'm looking to hire another driver to make the same kinda money :p

It operates as a private park, however, it is governed by the public and is required to be open 24 hours a day to the public.

    Not really private property.

Nope, I'm just a normal driver driving the company truck, company insurance and company fuel card.

If I was a lease Op you would double that figure & add a fuel surcharge and that's what I would make.

I experienced the same scenario with my take home pay during my driving sentence, I mean career.
Also during my career, when I started I was home every weekend. Gradually though I started working one weekend a month, then two weekends, then I was out for a month at a time , then six weeks on the road. When I was asked to clean out my truck at my last OTR job, I was staying locked up in my prison cell, OOPS I mean, staying on the road 60 days at a time, AND MY TAKE HOME PAY WAS LESS MONEY THAN WHEN I FIRST STARTED 17 YEARS AGO!!!

BTW, I'd like to use the highlighted line for my signature, with your permission.
