I'm curious. How does the 14 liter Series 60 run with the DPF (exhaust filter) system installed?
Have you had any problems? Turbo,EGR, or DPF problems?
Any loss of power compaired to the 2005 emissions (no exhaust filter, only an EGR) version of the 14 liter Series 60?
If any, were the problems covered under warranty?
How often do you need to do a "parked regen?"
Any other info you could give me would be a great help.
Thanks to all who reply!!!
Do you have a truck with the newest (last) version of the Series 60 Detroit Diesel?

The 14 liter isn't the newest. I actually have a 2000 which is the first year on the 14 liter I beleive. And it is non EGR thankfully.
I've heard, now they have a 15 Liter. I'd like to see it. -

The 14L was the last S60. The 15 liter is the DD15, it's been around since 07. They also have a DD13 and a DD16 now too.

Fogot to say only 83,000 miles on it lol

Are you a Detroit Diesel mechanic? I always thought the 2007-2009 EPA version of the 14L Series 60 was identical to the 2005-2006 "EGR" version, except for the DPF system being installed. Are you saying it's a completely different engine modeled after the Mercedes engine?

I haven't seen EPA2010 Series 60. May be it is DD15. SCR (bluetech). Really DD13-15-16 are variations of Mercedes OM471. It is revolutionary new engine made for future Euro-6 standard and for EPA2012. It is common rail diesel, with many emission things, includin urea injection system (SCR).

It's not an EPA2010 engine, it's an EPA2007 engine. (EGR and DPF, Non-SCR)

I ment the dd15 engine not the 60 series
