I hope to meet the KING OF FLATBEDDING one day soon so i can admire
his flatbedding awesomeness.
But seriously, i would like to meet as many prime drivers on this forum as i can if i am lucky to get on with prime.

Yes, Your Flatbeddedness!
-
Yes you may bow lol haha. Least I'm king of something
-
As a newb I must defer to your wisdom.
In all honesty, if I thought I could wrangle those tarps I would go flatbed. Being a short person does Prime lease/rent booster seats so I can see over the dashboard?

Everyone has a 70 hour limit each week. The potential paid miles are about the same between both divisions.
You are only wasting time and not making money if you are sitting and not using those 70 hours each week to get paid.
Hypothetically if you put ORD's log book against mine (Flatbed vs. Reefer)... and we are both running out our 70 for the week... he is sitting somewhere just as much as I am...
Its about using as much of that 70 we get each week to get paid.
7x24 is 168hrs in a week. 168 - 70= 98 hours. Ive got plenty of things I can do in the truck during those 98 hours.. TV, games, internet or sleep... so it doesnt bother me if Im in a dock, staging area, truck stop, or rest area. As long as Im getting good use out of those 70 hours each week to get paid.
If my FM can keep me rolling, up to, or close to that 70, Im a happy camper. -
After the 42 hour long bus ride, I should be there between 1-2pm on Monday. -
The reefer company i was at i ran against and almost over my 70 and could not squeeze in 2000 miles a week because of sitting at ship/recvr. I sat at that recvr for 11 hrs. Even though i did get paid detention, you don't get it at all recvrs. I am glad that it is not like that at prime so i can get in more miles in my 70. If i am hired that is.

cool see you monday. i will be wanderin around if i get enough sleep on the bus
-
I haven't use Elogs before but if you log all the time you sit at a shipper or a reciver you will run out of hours fast. I log enough time to do the work and then log in the sleeper.

Making ready for the trip to SpringMo on Sunday. I finally got around to tethering my laptop to the Android phone, automated a few scripts to keep the weather station going in the event of a major crash, etc.
Transferred War and Peace (all 60 hours (audio)) to the Android. I know, W&P boring... I never read many of the classics before and if I pass the physical, get a trainer and last more than a week on the road I'm going to finally do all the classics that I have put on the back burner all these years.
Like Nixon said in the great debate "I'm tanned, rested and ready" for next week. Looking forward to making new friends at Prime next week.
