I drove the old M911, with the M747 trailer, from 1984-1991.

c-18? Is that available to the public?
btw 1958pete thanks for your service! -
I've seen the C18 in use with off-road quarry trucks. I've heard of them being fitted into heavy haulers, but don't personally know of any which have had this done. But it is available to the public.
Road construction company I worked for had one of the old M911s. Had that two stroke Detroit... 8V72, I believe? Don't quote me on that. Thing was a clatterbox, but it did what it was supposed to. -
New HETA1's have C18 Cat w/700 hp
Old HET's have Detroit 8v92 with 455 hp -
The Silver-92's we had were rated anywhere from 430 hp to 475 hp. Most of our 911's ran 48-50 mph. That was a long, hot, rough ride, in July and August, from Ft. Polk to Ft. Hood and back.Last edited: Nov 30, 2011
