Oh yeah, winter in trucking is a most lovely time of year, the beautiful ice on the twigs on the trees...

Part of the job, you deal with it.

Thats the spirit MP3. The cam needs to be #####ed about through the driver board as a right to privacy till Rick sticks a cam up his butt and scraps the idea. What a stupid road to take a company down especially when you have other tools that can give the same data. Privacy is a drivers right especially when your living in the truck for Gods Sake !!!!

all I know is my FM works with me...and leaves me the hell alone for the most part...the last couple of weeks my miles were slim mostly due to the holiday and me wanting to be home...and army time which really throws a big ### monkey wrench into getting awesome miles...(hopefully not much longer)

Well we should pick and choose our battles wisely. I'm sorry I'm not going to piss ppl off at me over a couple of cameras going into guys trucks that are screw ups. If they were used more widely it would be worth it but there are so few in our company that I have never even seen one of em. I know its a violation of your rights and blah blah blah. But really is that the biggest issue we are faced with? What about the new regulations that are being forced down our throats by the fmcsa almost weekly? Let's join together and support OOIDA to help fight the REAL enemy.

. Your right to privacy when the truck is your home for out weighs any regulation that the FMSCA can put on you. Drivers can have bad yrs, bad months, bad weeks, bad days, and overall history should be weighed in . 14 yrs total w/o a traffic accident. One little incident at a dug out dock in Jan/2011 springfield il. landed the cam in my truck. although I really think it was due to laying out 3 mo due to health condition last fall.
Fight the excessive regs "great" making the assumption that your super trucker and that people who have cams are screw ups thats really uncool to say dude. A few yrs out here and you talking your like your **** dont stink. Overconfidence is not a cool thing..........

We've got one guy talking about an abstraction, another guy who has actually experienced it.

I don't want to make my head hurt thinking about anything like a legal or Constitutional issue, right to privacy, and such.

It's like the frog boiled slowly in a pot and the frog suddenly dropped in. I can see how somebody who has been unemployed from the steel mill for five years and is new to trucking has just got a bead on that money and he'll put up with as much as he can endure to feel like he's moving ahead, again. Other guys, been in the industry awhile, been through their own trials on the road, we've learned and overcome and now we can do something valuable not just everyone can do...the frog wants out of that pot NOW.

If you are going to watch me eat boogers I at least get to watch you watching me.
