I've been trying to get prices on the ARI sleepers for years, all i can find is the price for a new truck with a sleeper.

Those sleepers aren't roomy, just a place to crash when you can't ride in the saddle anymore. No more time than I spent in the sleeper back when I had one (young and stupid hardly ever sleeping)but now I like to be able to stretch out lol

Actually searched the country over for a 36" on an extended hood when I was looking for my last '07 379. Back then, someone said they still did the 36's and someone said 48 was the skinniest. But it was not to be...didn't want to go 389 and didn't want the 07 engine. Found one of the last 379's...an '07 EXHD on the assembly line in Texas with the wheelbase I wanted and the '06 engine. To me it was about that extra couple feet on useable space behind the cab for loading the wagon.

I'd swap a 63 for a 36 in a heartbeat still today if it didn't cost me so much to modify.

The 9900 in my profile pic has a 51' sleeper on it, I'm local and have only used it to nap in a time or two but I think I could do about 5 nights in that thing and then I would start to get restless. My boss is restoring an old pete cabover and I look that thing over and wonder what stories it would tell if it could talk.

the sleeper i posted below plus lets say 1000lbs extra for frame, drive line, etc adds 3,000lbs total to your truck.

    17,500 lbs 389 Peterbilt
    3,000 lbs sleeper
    --------------------
20,500 lbs How bad would that be for a Flat bedder?

    80,000 (gross) - 21,000 (Tractor) - 10,000 (Trailer) - 2000 (ramps, chains, tarps, binders, etc) = 47,000 lbs for freight
