    I think it is just as good as the 99, other than an overly static sensitive front end but this was seldom a problem. If anything I would prefer it over the 99 because it can out hear it by a long ways. 99.9999 percent of any work they needed was caused by tweaknicians and stupid mods and in this all other exports are the same. The 990 is a great radio, I would not mind still owning one.
