Ah, the old Harbor fwy "No trucks" fiasco north of the 101 (L.A.) That's the only posted fwy in the So.Cal. area. And the first fwy built also. Reason it's posted ? I always thought because of low overpasses, which aren't marked, but found out it's because of lane width, very narrow. Good luck with the ticket.

I used them in Florida when I was "accused" of backing into a parked vehicle. The ticket was dismissed and nothing went on my record.

Find a lawyer and fight it. Worst that happens is you pay the fine. I was glad I spent the 30 bucks in Dallas for a speeding violation. Officer never showed up. Case dismissed!

I did . Had a "must appear " speeding ticket 3 years ago . They got it reduced to faulty equipment and I didn't have to go to court . Don't expect miracles if you have prior violations .

Called the Interstate Truckers LTD and they quoted me $395 for the attorney fees plus whatever the ticket price is (usually between $180-$450). Looks like I am going to go ahead and go with them.

Why don't you just google lawyers in the city or jusisdiction? OR ask the clerk of the court when you call in about the ticket. They know all the lawyers and she might get a finders fee from one she knows. Why pay extra to some headhunter? They have a list and there is a list on line! That's how I have found lawyers. Call get the fine amount then before the internet we'd call information in the town and get a lawyer. The lawyer will tell you how much his costs are and you already have the fine and court costs so there you are. You write him a check or a credit card info with his cost and the fine and court costs and turn him loose. He pays the fine and if he managed to get it reduced he'll send you the balance and you're done without paying extra to a Pre paid legal company that does everything you can do yourself in this day of modern technology! Yeah, back in the "day" of the dark ages of non instant communications they were almost worth the money but these days it's nothing but a big waste of your money to what is a scam these days as several of them use nothing but recent law school grads or interns!

Just get a real lawyer with his name on the letter head and with a REAL proven track record and have fun! Next time verify any directions you get especially in towns like California or NYC, Chicago, Atlanta and others and yes Ca is one monster town! Also now that there are pretty good maps and satellite images what's so hard about verifying information especially restrictions that change on a yearly basics!

    Have fun!

I have no idea, I go ahead and pay for Open Road, I have yet to need it, but I have a friend who had a speeding ticket turned into a parking violation.

Was this the same guy who was charged with felony rape and got it reduced to misdemeanor unlawful entry on a plea bargain? :biggrin_25526:
