USIS = United States Information Services
They are the LARGEST repository of information on American Citizens in the world. They compile everything from financial to criminal histories on just about everyone with a Social Security Number and sell this information to anyone with cash, including ALL the Credit Reporting Agencies as well as many Major Corporations including most major Trucking Firms. USIS bought DAC several years ago.

That is CORRECT, under the FCRA (Fair Credit Reporting Act) you are entitled to a FREE Copy once per year, or MORE if you have reason to believe there is WRONG information posted in your record.
If a Company "pulls" your DAC and doesn't hire you because of the information they see, they are REQUIRED by Law to tell you this and provide a copy of your DAC to you, but seldom do this.
You can ALSO correct any WRONG information on your DAC as well, by sending a letter via Certified Mail to USIS desputing the info and demanding they remove the information from your DAC. They have 30 days to verify the information, if they CAN NOT or DO NOT, the information MUST be removed and they MUST provide you proof that it has. This you can usually do yourself with little or no cost....sometimes.
