You go Renee... you are doing really good. Yes there is that EPA thing. I just decided i am going to proceed with my plans since no one really knows how it will turn out. Might as well not freak out till its time to freak out :biggrin_25521:

I sorta figured that you all couldn't bring dogs on the truck...
But i was wondering if they allow pets in their townhomes and were you able to bring him over from Montana?

Well I live in a Town home and have 1 huge indoor Choco lab inside and 2 healers that r outside hahahaI know some who have 2 or 3 dogs in a travel trailer I know that the Poer Fuels trailer hood allows 2 dogs under a certain weight but they have to live indoors as no fencing is allowed the WC humane society has gotten strict on dog ordinances and types of dogs allowed in city limits..but that is only info about where I live not sure about else where

That's awesome...talk about some inspiration to keep pushing on. :biggrin_25519:

Dirtsquirter, thanks for the link on the article. Good stuff. Helms is an #@$%, making comments like that, getting people all riled. Phones were obviously ringing off the EPA's hook prompting today's press release. Can breathe easy for a little while.

What's going to happen in ND is just like what happened everywhere else 2 or 3 years ago. It's going to be so busy that the rates for everything are going to get out of hand and the oil companies are going to shut it down and knock everybody's dick in the dirt to get it all back under control and then slowly start it up again. I've seen it happen lots of times and it's going to happen again. It's already started as when they started drilling wells up there it was costing between 3 and 4 million from spud to completion right now it takes around 14 million to drill a well up there from spud to completion. So in my opinion the bottom is just about ready to fall out anybody that can get a nut before it does better save it for the bust that comes after the boom.

On the contrary, I think we probably owe Helms a big "thank you". His statements forced the EPA to signal their intentions for the short term. You bet the EPA's phones were ringing off the hook, and that's just what Helms wanted to happen. Now, as long as they stick to their word everything should be OK.

Smart man. All bubbles burst from time to time. I hauled tanks up there from Titan Tank Gainesville TX in 08-09. Was great and then it slowed down. Not like UT, WY, CO. They really slowed down. But if you save for and plan ahead it's no big deal.

So all bs and trucker talk aside what do you people who work up there think about the chances of someone like me? About 10 years driving experience and no accidents and only a few overweight tickets on my record. Im not scared of the winter and currently run to canada often with my current driving job. I know some people on here say to show up and you can find a job but I would kinda like to talk to somebody and have something set up before I head that way. Any input would be appreciated thanks.

Your estimate of 14 million is a bit high. 8 to 10 would be more accurate. Still very high compared to 3 or 4 a few years ago.
